Instructor: Giselle Roy Focussing on preparing women to work on homes, this series of workshops by local contractor Giselle Roy teach you what you need to know to work safely and effectively on your home. Each one will cover the necessary technical aspects and allow you to work through a small project for practice. Take all of the workshops in the series to get a sound overall knowledge of home improvements, or take only the those you need to accomplish the tasks at hand. In any event, it's a good idea to start with the first workshop covering the tools you should have, general safe practices, how to plan, and how to keep the necessary records for your project. One workshop will be held near the beginning of each month to allow you time to practice in between. |
