Welcome to The Learning Source

Lifelong learning is an important aspect of living in our society today. Studies show how important learning activities are to our emotional, physical and mental health.  At The Learning Source, our mission is to promote lifelong learning by offering unique, relevant, interactive courses that will build skills and improve the lives of those living in the communities we serve.

Our line-up of fall courses has now been posted on our website. We invite you to take a look at our course calendar to see if there's anything you might be interested in learning.  Contact our office to request a course catalogue be mailed to you.  Everyone subscribed to our e-newsletter before September 9th will be entered into a draw for a $50 Learning Source gift certificate. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter and increase your chances to win.

We are also pleased to partner with Durham Region Employment Network (DREN) to provide information sessions on Ontario’s Accessible Customer Service Standards in the Peterborough area.  Private businesses, non-profit organizations and any other service providers with at least one employee must comply with the regulations by January 1, 2012.  Managers can register for information sessions being held at the Peterborough Public Library this month.  Alternatively, if your organization is interested in having us come into your workplace, please contact us at (705) 743-2141 or e-mail info@learningsource.ca for more information.

The Learning Source is responsible to the community and we encourage your feedback as well. Please let us know what learning opportunities you’d like to see offered this coming fall and winter. You can reach us at (705) 743-2141 or send an email to info@learningsource.ca to share your thoughts and ideas.

Be sure to check out the Learning Source blog for additional upcoming messages from staff, instructors and class participants!

We look forward to serving you.
